Halloween

I love Halloween. It's not my favorite holiday, but I enjoy it. I love seeing all of the kiddos dressed up as cheerleaders, firemen, football players, ghosts, and goblins. And, it means I can decorate the house with fun stuff and make it look spooky. Like these, my latest creation...

Aren't they cool?!?! I saw the idea in a magazine, and I think I re-created them pretty good, if I do say so myself! It's just mason jars, spray painted in orange, draw on the faces with a permanent marker, seal with clear, and put a FLAMELESS candle in it. Voila! Instant Halloween decorations!

And then there's the Wal-Mart commercials. You know you can always count on them this time of year. Here's the latest. SO FUNNY!!

I hope you have a great Halloween!!

The 'perfect' day

I'm a sucker for surprise military homecomings. Which is probably why (and I can't believe I'm about to admit this) I watched that new Billy Ray Cyrus show that chronicled surprise military homecomings. I just think they're awesome. As I've said on here before, military families sacrifice so much for the rest of us. They deserve a little positive PR. And little girls, like Skylar Johnson, deserve to have their daddy home. Grab a tissue... you might need it.
